I’m still revising. Turns out, since I like to juggle projects I will always be revising something until the end of time. Sigh. I took a drafting break but got sucked back into my second draft of my Before Sunrise inspired romance.
One win is, I finished revising my Scottish Rom Com, Meet Me At The Loch. Gina Denny reviewed my query on her IG and Tiktok and after making the changes she suggested, I sent out a small batch of queries. I also participated in #joypit where I got 5 agent likes and one from a small press. So far I’ve had some rejections from fast responding agents and other than that—crickets.
School is almost out for summer (I work at an elementary school library). My goal is to get my current WIP in shape to send to some beta readers, and while they read I will draft something new. I’ve started plotting it already. It’s light and fun, a perfect summer project that will bring joy to my mornings, for the first draft anyway. 😂
What I’m reading:
I just finished Amy Tintera’s Listen For The Lie. It was amazing! I loved it. I listened to the audiobook and cleaned my house so I could listen longer.
What I’m listening to:
For some reason this song has been stuck in my head and I’m not mad at it.
What I’m watching:
We just finished watching Bodkin. Wow! So good. Great characters, good mystery and an unlikable yet completely fascinating woman.
Happy drafting with your joyful new summer project! 🩷
